GatiMotor Gives an Electric Car Twenty-Six Engine Personalities
A browser-based sound simulator that uses live GPS speed to synthesize combustion-engine revs, gear changes, exhaust, and downshifts inside an EV.
Field notes
The simulator maps vehicle speed to synthesized engine behavior rather than playing stored audio samples. Its technical explanation describes a complete 720-degree engine cycle, combustion pulses at real firing angles, a Fourier transform, and a 96-harmonic wave. The interface also includes automatic or sequential transmission, adjustable redline, throttle response, wind noise, and overrun crackle. For parked testing, a looping mixed route supplies simulated pull-aways, overtakes, and decelerations without location permission.
