A live, deliberately inconclusive instrument that observes requests reaching one hostname and asks whether web activity can be mistaken for human authorship.
Field notes
The instrument watches GET requests to a single hostname over an approximately 24-hour window, using Cloudflare edge signals and known crawler identifiers to assign estimated request classes. Its count excludes assets, API calls and missing paths, and the page presents a WebSocket event stream for live updates. A Mapbox/OpenStreetMap display associates pulses with approximate regions rather than precise visitor locations. The project marks its current status as inconclusive and warns that a request establishes software access, not human intent.
