Moods — a live map of how we feel
An interactive world map that turns public posts, news, events, weather, and anonymous visitor check-ins into fading fields of emotional colour.
Field notes
Moods combines several public signals rather than treating social posts as a complete emotional census. Bluesky and selected Mastodon timelines supply public-post material, while GDELT contributes news tone and event scores ranging from −10 conflict to +10 cooperation; USGS, GDACS, and National Weather Service data provide contextual hazard markers. The site says records are reduced to place, feeling, and weight, with locations limited to country, region, or major-city centroids rather than street level.
