PrivateRoute puts a privacy proxy between your code and an AI API
A local proxy replaces names, addresses, phone numbers, organisations and bank details with stand-ins before sending requests to an AI service, then restores them in the response.
Field notes
The documented setup uses a local Python process and a localhost endpoint, allowing an existing API client to change its base address rather than its message flow. The page says the proxy supports Anthropic Messages API streaming and tool calls, preserves useful formats in generated stand-ins, and exposes the exact transmitted request for inspection. It also describes an append-only audit trail containing replacement categories and counts while excluding the underlying values.
