RankBit: The Billboard That Decays
A public paid-placement board where listings compete for rank as their ranking value loses 10% each day.
Field notes
RankBit exposes a paid ranking mechanism rather than hiding placement inside a conventional directory. A bidder selects from a long category list, pays at least $5, and can increase an existing listing by submitting the same link; ranking power then decays by 10% per day. In the captured snapshot, the board had collected $5 across one listing, which showed four clicks and a current value of $4.79. The page identifies Stripe for payments and explicitly separates paid position from endorsement.
