SOUNDINDX, the Theatre Sound Workbench
A native macOS sound-library browser and toolkit for theatre designers, with search, auditioning, editing, effects, pitch tools, and drag-and-drop export.
Field notes
The application indexes the designer's existing folders rather than replacing their organization, then adds search across names and embedded descriptions with filters for format, length, sample rate, and size. Editing remains non-destructive until export, with zero-crossing snapping, pitch detection, Audio Unit chains, and MIDI-learnable controls. The site says Loop Match borrows audio from outside a selected region to construct the seam, while the menu-bar card keeps the rendered result available during fullscreen QLab operation.
