Field notes

The tool assigns draft order through short themed races or a multi-round gauntlet. In the illustrated ten-person format, the bottom two finishers receive picks 9–10, then successive pairs are removed until the last two compete for pick 1. Starting Gate also describes a commit-and-reveal process using a SHA-256 hash and a revealed seed, allowing participants to reproduce the published order.
