TELLUS began in 1983 when Joseph Nechvatal, Claudia Gould, and Carol Parkinson developed the cassette as a curatorial medium for work that conventional labels, galleries, and magazines might not accommodate. The planned anthology brings together 30 recordings across two metallic silver LPs, with new liner notes, artist biographies, and a reproduction of an original promotional poster. The page frames the project as both an archival record and an introduction to a downtown New York creative community.
