A studio proposes artworks as fabrication scores that machines, materials, cameras, and human hands repeatedly interpret.

Landing page captured for the 2026-08-24 issue.

Field notes

The project treats a physical artwork as a score containing paths, surfaces, volumes, materials, gestures, tolerances, order, and provenance. Its example assigns a 62% machine fraction and 38% human freedom, then sends the result through an A1 mini printer, airbrush, camera, and constrained human gesture. The documented first work is a 340 × 340 mm relief assembled from four tiles, with the next layer shaped by observed overspray, warping, broken lines, and other preserved accidents.
