Vellum, a Reading Room for PDFs and the Web
Vellum is a Mac reading workspace that combines PDFs, saved web articles, blogs, annotations, and document-specific notes.
Field notes
Vellum organizes PDFs, web articles, and blogs into a single library, with tabs or split panes for comparing documents. Its note model is unusually concrete: each document receives a Markdown Scratchpad with LaTeX and image support, alongside highlights, sticky notes, bookmarks, and portable PDF annotations. The page also describes offline copies, full-library search, reading-position recovery, and optional source-aware AI. Readwise Reader and Raindrop imports are presented as part of the workflow, while mobile versions remain planned.
