GeoFinder: A Delayed-Signal Hide-and-Seek Game

geofinder.site Observed source
Editorial interest 84/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A multiplayer map game in which one player hides in a city while seekers spend turns travelling, scanning, and narrowing the search.

Landing page captured for the 2026-08-25 issue.

Field notes

The round uses delayed information rather than live tracking: the hider moves after each seeker action, while signals identify the hider’s position from one turn earlier. Seekers can spend different amounts of the game’s action budget on distance bands, radius checks, nearby hospitals or stations, mapped-road clues, and a 24 × 14 pixel Mapillary peek. The page also states that precise routes remain on its server for up to 24 idle hours and explains which map providers receive selected coordinates.
