SKTR SHIMANAMI: A Motorcycle Rally That Starts Anywhere

The rally uses a deliberately loose format: riders select their own departure point and route, then prove visits to four of seven checkpoints with selfie photographs before checking in at Omishima. Eligibility covers both motorcycles over 125cc and 125cc-or-smaller mopeds, with separate road-use rules for each category. The finish-day gathering is broader than the rally itself: nonparticipants may attend without registration, and the site says families, cars, motorcycles of any type, shops, dealers, and food trucks are welcome.
