Tony Drewry’s Trans-Pecos Field Notes
A photographer’s archive of desert, river, porch, and road work from Terlingua and the wider Trans-Pecos.
Field notes
The archive is organized around three distinct bodies of work: a 2019 Big Bend and border series, 2020 sidewalk-made porch portraits, and ongoing images from Rio Grande trips between Santa Elena, Mariscal, and Boquillas. The surrounding biography supplies the connective tissue: Drewry also plays music, volunteers in fire and rescue, and guides canoes and rafts. Archival prints are offered as signed, rolled shipments, while the site also carries a road account of a 1,600-mile trip for a single gig.
