Auctoritas: The Republic That Reads the Papers
A browser simulation asks you to govern the fictional Southeast Asian republic of Karunia from 1950 to 1960, making two consequential decisions each year.
Field notes
The scenario combines a fictional republic with a dated historical timeline: the Korean War boom, the Suez crisis, and the 1955 election are presented as events that affect play on their stated dates. Each year permits two actions, followed by a newspaper account and a ledger explaining why the numbers changed. The prototype includes five provinces, three competing advisers, and delayed consequences that may not become visible until later years.
