The desktop workflow searches by company, ISIN, or ticker and places a stepped short-position series above a closing-price series on the same selectable range. It keeps legacy named disclosures separate from aggregate ANSP records, distinguishing position dates, publication dates, and chart-effective dates rather than filling gaps with invented daily points. The project also describes local audit records, a default data directory under %LOCALAPPDATA%\ShortTracker\data, optional Yahoo Finance queries, and SHA-256 verification for the Windows release.
