Flumen Gives Every Broadcast Its Own Small Fortress
A municipal and enterprise streaming system that ingests SRT or RTMP, records broadcasts, restreams them, and embeds live or archived video on client sites.
Field notes
Flumen routes each client’s encoder to a dedicated ingest VPS, then sends recordings to R2 while keeping catalogs and quotas in D1. The homepage specifies default-deny ingest ports, optional management-prefix SSH access, and separate caps that warn at 80% and stop recording at 100%. Its testing workflow models 10–24-hour contributions, including NAK recovery, bonded handoffs, and clock drift, rather than treating a stream as merely on or off.
