The Terminator Index
A cited 44-component index measuring how far real science and engineering have progressed toward the capabilities required by the Terminator films.
Field notes
The project separates fictional requirements from real-world evidence, using films, shooting scripts, and novelizations for the canon track and technical sources for the comparison track. Its formula multiplies a 1–9 readiness ladder by a specification fraction, then applies published editorial weights across 44 components. The homepage says marketing claims and fan-wiki material are excluded, while retractions and failed demonstrations can lower the result. At present, the component table is still waiting for evidence to resolve.
