The system uses a purpose-built language with real-world units, including metre-based dimensions and positions, rather than a general programming language. Its central constraint is bidirectional editing: moving an object in the viewer rewrites source, while changing source redraws the plan. The homepage also describes shapes and connections as the core primitives and says additional behaviours can be loaded as modules declared inside a plan.
