nasulens: A Darkroom Experience in Kuroiso
A Kuroiso, Nasu studio where visitors operate large-format cameras, develop film, and make silver-gelatin prints.
Field notes
The six-hour option follows the complete analog sequence: visitors load and expose three 4×5 sheets, develop their own negatives, choose one image, and make a contact print with darkroom chemicals and paper. The shorter option has nasulens handle development and later delivers the selected print. Sessions use rented cameras, lenses, and light meters, while an 8×10 upgrade provides two sheets and contact-print finishing. The former lens-factory setting remains part of the site’s account of place.
