Fish Scouter Writes Down the Guide’s Way of Reading Florida Water
A Florida fishing intelligence tool combining bite forecasts, tide and water data, charted fishing spots, regional calendars, and private GPS marks.
Field notes
Fish Scouter combines location search, NOAA tide information, water temperature, sunrise and sunset, seasonal calendars, and species-specific conditions into a trip-planning workflow. Its homepage describes rankings for 150 species and a map containing 49,000 Florida fishing locations, including reefs, wrecks, flats, passes, and ramps. Users are also told they can keep private spots and move Navionics or Garmin marks in and out through GPX files. The service divides Florida into ten regions rather than treating the state as one uniform fishery.
