The Water's Path · Great Basin Pulse
A Reno–Tahoe water journal connects Sierra snow, reservoirs, river gauges, Pyramid Lake, weather, algae advisories, and regional earthquakes.
Field notes
The project combines environmental readings with a place-based explanation of how water travels through the Reno–Tahoe basin and ends at Pyramid Lake. Its visible dashboard separates live gauges from forecasts and single-score summaries, while assigning different roles to the four upstream reservoirs: Stampede regulates flows for endangered fish, Independence is a drinking-water reserve, and Boca and Prosser support broader storage and flood-control functions. The page also places a recreational harmful-algae advisory and recent regional earthquakes alongside the hydrology.
