RightSplice Measures Where the Broadcast Cut Actually Landed

rightsplice.com Observed source
Editorial interest 78/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

RightSplice offers SCTE-35 inspection and monitoring tools that compare signalled splice points with the actual video frame.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-06 issue.

Field notes

RightSplice compares SCTE-35 splice messages with the video frame where the transition actually occurs, rather than treating cue delivery as sufficient proof. The macOS Inspector accepts transport-stream files, base64 input, and batch workflows, and exposes descriptor decoding, CRC-32 and specification validation, plus a filmstrip with I-, P-, and B-frame labels. The Linux Watchdog extends the same measurement to continuously monitored UDP or SRT streams.
