Doubletracker, a neural guitar doubletrack generator
An experimental audio model turns one dry guitar DI recording into a generated second performance for a more natural stereo doubletrack.
Field notes
The model is trained on paired dry guitar DI recordings and is intended to generate a separately varied performance of the same musical part, rather than apply stereo widening. Current comparisons place recorded references, real doubletracks, and model outputs side by side, with headphones or properly placed monitors recommended. The prototype currently operates at 16 kHz, while higher sample rates are described as future work. Contributors are asked for independently recorded pairs they own or have permission to provide.
