nodekind, an XML editor for people who don't speak XML

nodekind.com Observed source
Editorial interest 86/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A browser-based XML editor that reads a schema and presents only the elements allowed at each position.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-09 issue.

Field notes

nodekind derives editor behaviour from an XML schema, while vocabulary-specific labels come from a separate dictionary; when a label is missing, the schema name remains visible rather than being invented. The page describes a browser demo covering DITA, DocBook, JATS, FHIR, and a Dutch regulatory format. It also shows a separate identity namespace for XML nodes, intended to make a moved paragraph register as one change instead of a deletion plus an insertion.
