reMem, a Memory Kernel for Changing Facts
An open-source memory layer for agents that preserves observations, marks outdated beliefs as superseded, and links current answers to their source messages.
Field notes
The project separates an append-only record of observations from beliefs derived from that record. In its example, a statement that the user works at Stripe is retained but marked superseded after a later statement names Anthropic, allowing the system to answer with the current value while showing the change. The page says saving and recall make no model calls, while consolidation uses one at the end of a session, and reports benchmark comparisons at both 6k and 32k tokens.
