apispy: API documentation from browser traffic
A desktop tool that watches browser traffic and turns observed HTTP, GraphQL, WebSocket, and SSE activity into API documentation.
Field notes
apispy uses a dedicated Chrome analysis browser to observe requests and streams while a user performs ordinary workflows. Its workspace separates GraphQL operations that share one endpoint, surfaces observations such as fields that were always null or operations seen only once, and exports OpenAPI 3.1, GraphQL SDL, and AsyncAPI 3.0. The page says capture and schema inference remain on the user’s machine; credentials are represented by variables such as {{BEARER_TOKEN}} rather than carried into the documentation.
