Apotheca makes concealment part of the visit: guests find an unmarked door on the fourth floor of Kyoto’s Yotōkan building, then enter a 16-seat bar built around a seven-metre counter. Its page also names an owner-bartender, a 2023 Hennessy global competition champion, multilingual service, and cocktails ranging from dry martinis to a cucumber-and-Chartreuse original.
