KillVault keeps a rolling capture buffer rather than waiting for a player to press a key after the moment has passed. Its detection logic first checks for “Killed by X.” so a death is not misclassified as a kill, then searches for the shorter kill notice; the page says frame comparison skips 97–99% of reads. The visible target is Throne and Liberty in English, with profiles for screen regions and event-specific clip windows.
