Nymquill, the offline document-redaction workbench
A Windows desktop tool for identifying sensitive information, replacing it with stable aliases, and preparing documents for external AI analysis.
Field notes
The visible workflow combines local parsing, OCR, candidate detection, item-by-item review, alias replacement, and export into a separate document. Supported examples include Word files, PDFs, scanned PNG/JPG images, plain text, and Markdown. The page distinguishes editable DOCX output from flattened-image PDF output, and says complex DOCX files with revisions, images, or content controls are not yet supported. Alias restoration is limited to the original workspace and does not restore Word formatting.
