Catacomms: a dungeon on radio
A turn-based dungeon game for one to four people, played over LoRa radios with no server, internet connection, or accounts.
Field notes
Catacomms makes radio bandwidth part of the game design rather than hiding it behind a network layer. The page describes a deterministic room engine, retransmission and acknowledgement over packet loss, and eight-byte result hashes that expose divergent game states. Expeditions are jointly signed by the players present, while a solo run is signed only by its player and produces no shared board result. The stated item system combines 29 shapes with 14 colours.
