Editorial interest 78/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A Windows Excel add-in that explains formulas, traces dependencies, flags hardcodes and broken patterns, and applies house formatting from the keyboard.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-11 issue.

Field notes

The add-in presents formula dependencies as a tree and labels references from the worksheet rather than leaving the user with coordinates such as D10. Its keyboard workflow includes Ctrl + Shift + [ for opening the Explorer and a one-keypress trace from outputs to typed assumptions. The page specifies Windows Excel 2016 or Microsoft 365, says no administrator rights are needed, and offers a 14-day trial without requesting a card.
