Obserf Finds the Few Threads Worth Your Time
An open-source, local-first CLI searches Hacker News, Reddit, GitHub, and Brave for public conversations where a project might genuinely help.
Field notes
The CLI combines four source adapters with a deterministic filtering stage before asking a model to assess anything. The homepage shows one illustrative scan shrinking 312 returned candidates to 41 assessed items and six with a nonzero result, while naming rejection causes such as stale, thin, duplicate, blocked, and already settled. It requires Bun 1.4 or later and a Claude Code subscription, and the workflow leaves account-based posting to the user.
