Whiplash, a Rope-Platformer Built Around Momentum
A browser-playable precision platformer where players swing, retract, and release a whip to cross lethal temples and uncover hidden routes.
Field notes
The movement model is organized around five linked actions: anchoring to a surface, swinging, retracting for lift, releasing, and carrying momentum forward. The current browser alpha supports multiplayer lobbies with up to eight players and a creator mode where stages can be built from terrain, props, hazards, and objectives, then playtested and validated before sharing. The site also describes three connected campaign worlds, while the Steam release remains planned rather than dated.
