RoamMode separates traffic control on the iPhone from traffic control applied to devices connected through its hotspot. Its examples show a Travel Strict profile preserving maps and messaging while reporting 312 MB used, and a Hotspot Shield profile allowing 1.2 GB of browser/work traffic while showing zero for video streaming and OS updates or Dropbox. The site says access will arrive through a future release and currently offers only a waitlist.
