Safe Food Tool turns a case-label photo into a traceability record
A Canadian food-traceability tool that reads lot labels, records receiving and shipping events, and exports SFCR-style records, recall reports, and lot labels.
Field notes
The displayed workflow uses a phone photograph as the starting point, then lets an operator review OCR- and AI-populated fields before saving a lot-keyed record. The example covers Pure Maple Syrup with two ingredient entries, a named Quebec cooperative, coordinates, a capture timestamp, and a retention date. Receiving and shipping entries are joined in a pipe-delimited text export, while a separate example shows a 4 × 2 inch label intended for direct printing.
