SectioCAD — from section to cutting list
A browser-based CAD tool for turning metal or aluminium cross-sections into dimensioned drawings, DXF and PDF files, and workshop-ready cutting lists.
Field notes
The workflow begins with a sketched or imported cross-section and builds an exact part by adding dimensions, holes, cuts, mitres, slopes, and adjoining members. Outputs include four dimensioned views, DXF with real DIMENSION entities, PDF, and a cutting list; the page gives an example of a BOX 40×40 A2 member measuring 1240 with 45°/45° ends. Work is saved in the browser, while a share link exposes the model and list on a phone.
