SENTINEL, an aircraft that skips the runway
A Slovenian team is building a modular tilt-rotor VTOL aircraft that takes off vertically, cruises on fixed wings, and carries interchangeable sensors.
Field notes
The prototype combines a printed shell with carbon spars and booms, keeping the payload bay hollow and top-accessible for different equipment. Its four modules separate along the spars without tools, with the wings, tail boom, fuselage, and payload area packing flat into one case. The page specifies a 6S Li-Po system rated at 10,400 mAh, but leaves endurance, range, speed, payload mass, and maximum take-off mass unreported pending further flight testing.
