thatteOS — a ternary microkernel you can run today
An open-source balanced-ternary microkernel written in ManiT, currently hosted on Linux and aimed at a future photonic-ternary device.

The available implementation follows a hosted Linux path: maniTC’s LLVM backend builds the executable, which can then be run as ./thatteos to inspect its shell and userspace. The kernel model replaces conventional binary-oriented concepts with trit addresses, one-trit privilege, TritFS, trit-stream IPC, and capability objects, including photon-schedule capabilities. The page labels v0.3.0 as public and distinguishes this implementation from planned T3ISA, GUI, and bare-metal support.
