Echoes — 60-second films about the week's strangest news
A YouTube Shorts project turns one recent news story into a narrated, nineteen-scene animated film under a minute long.
Field notes
The production workflow is unusually explicit: the creator scans for a named news subject, writes about 130 words, traces claims to a paper, vote, or dataset, then builds roughly nineteen illustrated scenes. Each scene lasts about three seconds, and the recurring narrator appears in three of them from a shared reference sheet. The homepage also includes a timestamped scene preview for video 24, with captions deliberately kept above the lower portion occupied by the Shorts interface.
