Landing page captured for the 2026-09-12 issue.

Field notes

CaptionLeaf runs local-file transcription in the browser after downloading a speech model, then exposes an editor with TXT and timestamped SRT export. The tested path covers MP3, WAV PCM, and MP4 using H.264 video with AAC audio, with a 50 MB and five-minute limit. Public Instagram and Reels links use a separate beta importer, while private posts, Stories, carousels, and live video are excluded.
