HeartMend’s five-gene second read for cardiac biopsies
A molecular diagnostic panel that scores acute cellular rejection risk from the same tissue collected for routine heart-transplant biopsy.
Field notes
The workflow uses a portion of the same endomyocardial biopsy collected for routine histology, measures five named genes, and applies an L2-regularized logistic regression model without refitting to new cohorts. The site reports testing on 25 external biopsies—12 rejection and 13 non-rejection—after training on 43 separate samples, with 2,000 permutation-test label shuffles. These are site-reported validation figures, not evidence here of regulatory clearance or routine clinical deployment.
