Plainrig: A Hardware Monitor That Shows Its Work
A Windows system monitor that maps processor, graphics, memory, storage, network, and event-log data in live visual views.
Field notes
The monitor combines live readings with visual representations of the hardware they describe: processor tiles, graphics engines, memory slots, drive volumes, and network links. It reports once per second and distinguishes direct measurements from estimates, including estimated per-core temperatures when the chip does not provide them. The Windows version is described as a one-folder application with no installer, account, cloud connection, or telemetry.
