Plume noire organizes novel development around the Snowflake method: a one-sentence premise expands into a paragraph, character material, synopsis, chapters, and scenes. Its editor uses Markdown while adding novel-specific styles, keyboard controls, word goals, and Word export details such as styles, a table of contents, and footnotes. The French-language layer checks for weak verbs, repetitions, -ment adverbs, writing tics, grammar, and typography, making the intended audience more specific than a general-purpose writing app.
