ReTrace, the Reverse-Order Disassembly Notebook
An offline-first iPhone and iPad app for recording how something comes apart so it can be restored in reverse order.
Field notes
ReTrace records a sequence of disassembly actions and generates the corresponding reverse sequence for restoration. Its example moves from photographing the original setup to disconnecting HDMI, unplugging power, and removing a bracket, then reverses those actions automatically. The page says photos are optional, a type and note are sufficient, and the app works fully offline on iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later. App Store availability is presented as forthcoming rather than confirmed.
