SimMonkey, the iOS backend troublemaker
A Mac panel for controlling requests from an iOS app running in the Simulator—stubbing responses, injecting failures, adding latency, rerouting traffic, and replaying requests without rebuilding.
Field notes
SimMonkey instruments URLSession traffic from an iOS debug build through a local panel at 127.0.0.1:8377. Its rules can match on URL or request-body fields, ignore ordering and whitespace, and return a real NSURLError or delayed response rather than a nominal success. The page also describes readable JSON inspection, including a 434 KB station list condensed into 401 rows, and links to the SimMonkeyKit repository.
