The proposed system uses phone motion sensors and GPS during ordinary drives, then compares readings from separate trips before assigning a bad-road rating. The page says it adjusts for speed, phone orientation, GPS accuracy, and repeat detections, and presents four condition labels from Smooth to Awful. The project currently identifies Southeast Missouri as its starting region and describes an Android beta, while an iPhone version is presented as an interest-list possibility.
