Unwatched, the island that keeps going without you
A persistent island simulation where AI citizens work, argue, trade, govern themselves, and write to their human owners when something matters.
Field notes
The project describes a persistent island whose economy depends on linked production: fields grow grain, a mill makes flour, a bakery makes bread, and a failed link can empty the shelf. Participants create citizens with forty coins, a suitcase, and three nights at the harbor inn, then read a daily digest and answer occasional letters. The site says each citizen can use the project’s model, the owner’s own model key, or owner-written code, with advice remaining optional.
