Sift presents email as a local application rather than a browser tab: Gmail data is synchronized through a Rust engine into a SQLite mirror using WAL and FTS5, with Keychain storage for tokens. The page identifies Tauri 2 and WKWebView as the desktop shell and reports a 9.8 MB download, roughly 35 MB idle memory, and a 0.31-second cold start.
