Patchwork AAC
A customizable communication board for children who may struggle with multi-page AAC systems.
Field notes
The configuration flow lets a caregiver choose between single words and whole phrases, set rows and columns, and select vocabulary by communicative function rather than only by noun category. Folders are deliberately limited to one level, while the grid can hide surplus buttons without deleting them. The interface also includes a communication-passport area for a child’s name, important adults, and medical notes, plus optional spoken previews and adjustable vibration or visual feedback.
