Readback checks what coding agents actually did
A command-line verifier compares an agent’s claims with files, GitHub activity, and web responses, then returns inspectable JSON evidence.
Field notes
Readback accepts a JSON claims file and checks each condition against a named source, returning evidence alongside a verified, contradicted, or indeterminate status. The documented example checks proof.txt for two strings and exits 1 when the second string is absent, rather than collapsing mixed results into success. The project is distributed as a Go binary through Homebrew, an installer, or go install; the page also identifies v0.1.5 as an early release and says the CLI makes no model calls or telemetry.
